IT POLICY & GUIDELINES
Welcome to the Dr. B. N. College of Architecture Learning Management System.
Before accessing the LMS, every user must read and comply with the following institutional policies.
🏛️ BNCA IT Policy & Guidelines

Welcome to BNCA Learning Management System
The Learning Management System (LMS) is an official academic platform of Dr. B. N. College of Architecture (BNCA). Every user is responsible for using BNCA's Information Technology resources in a secure, ethical and lawful manner.
By clicking "I Agree", you confirm that you have read and understood the following rules and agree to comply with the complete BNCA IT Policy. The policy applies to all faculty, staff, students, researchers, guests and any other authorized users of BNCA IT resources.
1. Account Responsibility
- Use only your own BNCA account.
- Never share your username or password.
- Protect your password using strong security practices.
- You are responsible for all activities performed using your account.
2. Acceptable Use
Use BNCA IT resources only for:
- Teaching
- Learning
- Research
- Administration
- Official academic activities
Do not use BNCA resources for illegal, unethical, commercial or unauthorized purposes.
3. Respect Privacy
You must not:
- Access another user's files
- Read another user's emails
- Attempt to bypass security
- Use another person's account
without proper authorization.
4. Network & Internet Usage
Users shall not:
- Bypass network security
- Use VPN/proxy tools to avoid restrictions
- Perform hacking or scanning activities
- Disrupt network services
BNCA reserves the right to monitor and protect its network infrastructure.
5. Software & Licensing
Users must:
- Use only licensed software.
- Never install pirated software.
- Keep operating systems updated.
- Maintain antivirus protection.
6. Device Security
Users shall:
- Lock computers when unattended.
- Protect laptops and mobile devices.
- Report lost or stolen devices immediately.
- Keep systems updated.
7. Email Usage
Official BNCA email shall be used for official communication.
Users shall not:
- Send spam
- Send offensive messages
- Share email passwords
- Open suspicious attachments
- Misuse email facilities
8. Data Protection
Users must:
- Protect confidential information.
- Keep important data backed up.
- Handle institutional information responsibly.
- Respect copyright and intellectual property.
9. Monitoring & Security
BNCA may monitor, audit and investigate the use of its IT resources to:
- Protect institutional systems
- Ensure policy compliance
- Investigate security incidents
- Meet legal obligations
10. Reporting Security Incidents
Immediately report:
- Malware or virus infections
- Lost devices
- Suspicious emails
- Unauthorized access
- Security breaches
to the BNCA Computer Centre / IT Helpdesk.
11. Policy Violations
Violation of this policy may result in:
- Suspension of IT services
- Restriction of network access
- Disciplinary action
- Expulsion (students)
- Termination of employment or contracts
- Legal action where applicable
Declaration
By selecting "I Agree", I confirm that:
- I have read and understood the BNCA IT Policy.
- I agree to comply with all institutional IT rules.
- I will use BNCA IT resources responsibly.
- I understand that misuse may result in disciplinary and/or legal action.
